About Us
Belville Community Garden Trust is a registered charity set up by local people in 2014 to bring community groups and individuals together in a deprived area of the east end of Greenock. We aim to break down social barriers for the young and old alike and offer the chance of new learning experiences, improved community relationships, a sense of pride in the environment and an improved sense of mental and physical well-being. The main activities of our organisation involve building a safer, stronger community and improving lifestyles and health primarily through gardening, horticulture, and healthy eating.

The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Gardener to work alongside our outdoor team, maintaining and improving our community garden space. The role will be based on site with some volunteer management responsibilities alongside regular gardening duties. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills as well as horticultural experience and will receive any necessary training – such as first aid and safeguarding training – once in position. Please see below for the full application pack containing the job description and a list of preferential skills and experience.

This role is funded by the National Lottery.
